LGU San Antonio gets 1st National Anti-Drug Abuse Performance Award


LGU San Antonio bagged the 1st National Anti-Drug Abuse Performance Award conferred by the Department of Interior and Local Government. The award is given to LGUs that achieved an adjectival rating of Ideal (High Functionality) based on the 2017 ADAC Performance Audit. 


The said award has proven the exemplary efforts of the municipality of San Antonio headed by Mayor Erick Wagan in complementing the national government's aim to eradicate illegal drug's problem. San Antonio, Quezon receives 2018 Seal of Good Local Governance 


The municipality of San Antonio, Quezon once again bagged the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award conferred by the Department of Interior and Local Government being the highest award for local government units which has proven governance excellence and competence in local administration in their respective communities. 


Alongside 3 other municipalities in the province of Quezon namely Mauban, Gumaca and Panukulan, San Antonio passed the assessment of the DILG selection committee for the said performance award. The criteria include financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business-friendliness and competitiveness, environmental management and tourism, culture and the arts, health compliance and responsiveness and program for sustainable education. South Emerald Supermarket opens branch in San Antonio


The first chain of supermarket known as Tindahan ng Bayan has put up a branch in San Antonio, Quezon. Originally Sioland Supermarket with the vision of being the number 1 supermarket chain in Southern Luzon, South Emerald Supermarket can now provide locals of San Antonio access to different commodities at low prices. 


The store is located in the town proper of San Antonio, Quezon and is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm daily.

Provincial and National Government provide Cash Assistance to San Antonio, Quezon for Supplementary Feeding Program


Quezon’s First Lady Anna Villaraza-Suarez, along with the day care pupils’ parents’ federation president Teodoro Raz, Mayor Aniano Ariel Wagan, Jr., Mrs. Myra Wagan, Regional Nutritionist Precy Escante, and MSWDO Arlene Bago at the formal turn-over of cash assistance for the day care feeding program in San Antonio, Quezon last October 1 at the Municipal Covered Court of the said town.(QUEZON PIO).


Coinciding with the 55th founding anniversary of the town of San Antonio, Quezon, the Provincial Government – hand-in-hand with the National Government through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – conferred the municipality with a cash assistance amounting to Php 987, 480.00 last October 1st at the Municipal Covered Court.


The amount, which was gratefully accepted by San Antonio Mayor Aniano Ariel Wagan, Jr., day care workers, and day care pupils’ parents, will be used for the Feeding Program laid out to combat malnutrition in the day care pupils of the said town.


According to Quezon’s First lady, Madam Anna Villaraza-Suarez, the programs of her husband Governor David “Jayjay” C. Suarez are focused on empowering each and every household in the province. Through Serbisyong Suarez, programs for health, education, agriculture and livelihood are promulgated and made available even in the farthest of towns and barangays in Quezon.


Mrs. Suarez also praised the day care workers who she described as partners of the Provincial Government in providing services to Quezonians. Mrs. Suarez added that the work of these day care workers is pivotal in the development of the youth, and her husband Gov. Suarez is grateful for their efforts and sacrifices, citing them as model citizens and modern-day heroes of our society.
